I’m Gina, a working mom of four kids ranging from teething to teen.

I love being a mom, but I’m no stranger to mental health struggles and exhaustion. I found out the hard way how important it is to take care of yourself when, as moms, we can be so focused on giving everything to our precious little ones.

My goal through Steps to Self is to help moms attend to themselves and live their best life.

Professional writer by day, I’m a southern girl who loves the beach and has a serious weak spot for gummy bears. I enjoy reading, good movies, kayaking, hiking, and camping.

I’m a podcast addict, and I hope I never stop learning new things! My interests include mindfulness, green living, minimalism, and positive parenting.

I believe in ending stigma around mental illness. So many suffer in silence, when we should not have to feel ashamed. Read my anxiety story.
